paragon outlets off el charo here in livermore off 580. they have been open for just a few weeks now. they opened at 10:00 last night. i just want to give you a sense of what people had to endure just to get to the mall. when they got to the el charro exit, it was an hour wait in the car just to get off the exit to drive the few hundred yards to the mall and then another 30 to 40 minutes just to find a parking spot. this is just some of the stories we're hearing from shoppers overnight. you're looking at an hour and a half, an hour 40 just to get on property. that does not include the drive time from wherever you are coming from. what people were coming for are deals where stores are offering 40% off, 50% off in some instances. people were coming here for deals that are going to be expiring, let's say two for one deals expiring around 6:00 this morning. good morning to you. what time did you get here? >> 11:00 p.m. yesterday. >> last night. how much money did you say? >> about 150. >> reporter: clothes primarily? >> yes. jackets, t-shirts. >> reporter: what kind of hoops did you have

paradigm out lead near the old el toro accidaccexit. just love the sun here as you work to way along the 280 i'm sorry this is concord not the south bay highway 68242 are looking pretty good. now the south bay santa clara block mall opened at 5:00 a.m. and it is all trouble-free. >> there is a fire in the south bay that turned into a three alarmists 60 bed and firefighter fractured his neck. this left 18 people displaced. the fire broke out last night around 8:30 p.m. in the two-story apartment complex on willow leaf drive. a ceiling collapsed on the injured firefighter. residents also taken to be hospital. places and fell are investigating a shooting at a nightclub that injured two people. they received a call at one morning on club 1 01 on san francisco boulevard. is just off of 1 01. there is a fight and the club that spilled into the parking lot and that is when shots were fired. both victims were men. multiple firearms were recovered from the scene. the men were taken to hospital. a family in vallejo is looking for the driver they say is responsible for killing their grandmother

crowds. this is at the el charro exit on 580. we heard that when people were trying to get in, when they got to the exit in their car, they're waiting appear hon hour get off the exit and over to the mall. once they got to the mall, it was 30 to 40 minutes just to find a parking spot. it got so bad livermore police around midnight, 1:00 this morning considered shutting down the traffic because they were almost at full capacity not only in the parking lot directly surrounding the mall itself but in the overflows in the field that are just across the street. that's how bad it got. but it just shows you to what extremes shoppers are willing to go through to save a few bucks. >> kate spade, i got 60% off. was it worth the hour driving and hour parking, maybe? but it's black friday and that's what you to. >> reporter: how much money in dollar terms did you save? >> maybe about $750. >> reporter: we know of two brothers, one from san bruno, another from hayward, who spent the night in a hotel in livermore thinking that they would get a head start on the drive. normally what was a 10 to 15
